Last month, Persona fans spotted a new domain name registered by Atlus called P5T, hinting that the developer is currently working on another spin-off alongside the likes of Persona 5 Strikers and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight. Similar domain names have been registered for other Persona titles in the past, as Persona 5 Royal was registered as P5R and Persona Q2 was registered as PQ2.

However, it seems like Atlus has now updated that domain name, suggesting that this spin-off is about to be announced at an upcoming event, most likely either Summer Game Fest or the Xbox Games Showcase which take place next week. As noted by Persona Central, Atlus also has a history of updating domain names shortly before official announcements, having updated P5R and PQ2 under a week before their reveals.

As for what P5T actually is, your guess is as good as mine. Persona 5 Strikers was the last spin-off we got from Atlus, and I don’t think even the most dedicated fan of the series saw a Musou/Warriors style game on the cards. Many fans think that the “T” could potentially stand for “Tournament”, and that Atlus currently has another fighting game in development similar to Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. It’s looking like a great year for fighting games, so Atlus throwing its hat into the ring wouldn’t be too farfetched.

Then you have the more outlandish predictions, such as Persona 5 Tactics, and one person which suggests a karting game called Persona 5 Traction. Now that idea has been put out into the world, I’m not going to be happy until it becomes a reality.

In any case, it seems like we’ll have at least one Persona-related announcement take place next week, if other insiders and leakers are to be believed. Not only do we now have this new spin-off to look out for, but it was also suggested that we’ll soon see the announcement of Persona 6, which will apparently be released in 2024 as a timed PS5 exclusive.

We also have the Persona 3 Remake which is apparently set to be announced at the Xbox Games Showcase. Very rough footage of what appeared to be Yukari defeating a Shadow surfaced online not too long ago, although questions were raised about its legitimacy. If all of these rumors do end up being real, then it’s looking like it’s going to be one hell of a year for Persona fans.
