Vivo Y27 5G Geekbench Scores Reveal Mid-Range Android Smartphone Powered By Dimensity 6020 SoC, 8GB RAM

A new Vivo smartphone has popped up on the Geekbench benchmarking website. It could be the upcoming Vivo Y27 5G, and based on the scores, the smartphone would be positioned in the midrange category.

The Vivo Y series has always included midrange Android smartphones with decent hardware. Let’s look at the latest details about the upcoming smartphone from Vivo, which should launch in India.

Vivo Y27 5G Geekbench Listing Reveals Key Specifications

Vivo could soon expand its Y-series lineup with the launch of the Y27 5G. The Vivo device will likely be one of several midrange 5G-enabled Android smartphones from the company launching in various markets.

The Vivo smartphone that surfaced on the Geekbench bears the model number V2248. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek SoC. The peak clock speed of the performance cores in the chipset is 2.2GH, while the remaining six cores are clocked at 2.0GHz.

Based on the available details, it appears the Y27 5G is packing the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, which is quite old. Some reports suggest MediaTek has rebranded this chipset as Dimensity 6020. This chipset has a Mali-G57 GPU.

The Geekbench listing reveals the Vivo smartphone is packing 7.45GB of RAM, which should translate to 8GB RAM. Although the listing doesn’t reveal, the Vivo Y27 5G may pack 128GB of internal storage and there could be another variant with 6GB RAM.

The mystery Vivo smartphone scored 660 and 1839 points in Geekbench 6’s single-core and multi-core tests, which is rather a low score. The device being tested is running Android 13, but there could be a custom layer of Funtouch OS 13.

Vivo Y27 5G Expected Features

Vivo hasn’t acknowledged the existence of the Vivo Y27 5G. However, an NCC Listing revealed that the Y27 5G will likely pack a 5000mAh battery, which will support 44W wired fast charging.

The Vivo Y27 5G is tipped to feature a flat-frame design and dual rear camera setup. Although the exact screen size remains unknown, Vivo is rumored to have embedded a Full HD+ display with a 440PPI pixel density with a waterdrop notch for the front-facing camera.

Some reports suggest the Y27 5G will feature a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, speaker grill, and dual microphones, one at the bottom edge and the other at the top.
