Redmi Turbo 3 name confirmed for Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered phone

Xiaomi has confirmed the name of its Snapdragon 8s Gen 3-powered phone that will launch in April as Redmi Turbo 3. This will be the successor to last year’s Redmi Note 12 Turbo, powered by Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2.

Redmi Brand’s General Manager Wang Teng Thomas already posted an image of the phone’s display that showed sleek bezels. Today, he said that the Turbo 3 will be the first masterpiece of the new series in the new decade.

Based on the new ten-year plan, the company has built a new product matrix:

• K series: positioned as a technological performance flagship, fully evolving into a high-end flagship
• Turbo series: positioned as a new generation performance flagship, reshaping the mid-range performance landscape;
• Note series: positioned as a mid-range experience Benchmark, promoting the rapid popularization of flagship experience
• Number series: positioning high-quality entry-level phones, pushing up the industry experience baseline.

Regarding the device, he said:

Performance is the starting point of all experiences and has always been the strongest appeal of young users. Today, we bring a new performance series – Turbo, codenamed “Little Tornado”, which will set off a whirlwind of popularizing flagship performance and reshape the mid-range performance landscape.

This is our first mission of the new decade, a whirlwind start to the new Turbo series.In the past two years, we have experienced great success in exploring two generations of performance products, Note 11T Pro and Note 12 Turbo. The first product of the new series is named “Turbo 3” and will be equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 series flagship core. As a top performer, it will lead the industry’s mid-range performance leap.

After the China launch in April, the phone should be introduced for the global markets as POCO F6.
