Realme, a popular smartphone brand known for its budget-friendly offerings, is preparing to release its new affordable smartphone, the Realme C53. Set to launch in Malaysia on June 6, this device is expected to become available in other markets in the following weeks.

While Realme has not provided any information about the phone’s availability in India, Indian customers won’t miss out on the device as the C53 is essentially a rebranded version of the Narzo N53, which was recently launched in India. Let’s dive into the details of this new smartphone.

Display and Design

The Realme C53 has a 6.74-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The touch sampling rate is 180Hz for responsive touch interactions. The front-facing camera is 8MP and located in a teardrop notch, maximizing the screen-to-body ratio.

The smartphone also incorporates iPhone’s Dynamic Island-like system for notifications called “mini capsule”. The phone is also slim and lightweight, measuring 7.5mm thick and weighing 182g.

The company also revealed that the Realme C53 will be available in two stunning color options: Champion Gold and Mighty Black.

Performance and Storage

Under the hood, the Realme C53 is powered by the Unisoc T612 chipset, a 12nm processor consisting of 2x Cortex-A75 and 6x A55 cores, and is paired with the Mali-G57 GPU. The device comes with 6GB of RAM, which can be expanded using virtual RAM for improved multitasking capabilities.

In terms of storage, the Realme C53 offers 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card. Notably, it is a dual-SIM 4G phone with a triple card slot, allowing users to utilize a second phone line without sacrificing storage space.

Camera

The Realme C53 boasts a 50MP primary rear camera. Additionally, the phone features a secondary depth sensor module on the back. The front-facing camera is an 8MP lens as previously stated.

Battery and Charging

The phone houses a sizable 5,000mAh and supports 33W SuperVOOC charging, which enables rapid charging from 1% to 50% in just 31 minutes with the provided charger. According to Realme, the phone will have “plenty of power left at the end of the day” even after heavy usage such as content consumption or gaming.

Furthermore, the phone is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a rarity in smartphones these days.

Expected Availability

While the official launch date of the Realme C53 has not been confirmed, it is expected to be released in India in July, according to rumors.
