Back in November, Polestar showcased its first smartphone which is expected to work in tandem with Geely-owned brand’s expanding fleet of eclectic vehicles. We haven’t heard much about Polestar Phone in the last few months but the device has now emerged on Google Play’s supported devices list. This listing suggests we are inching closer to an actual launch though Polestar has still not given any official confirmation.

Polestar demoed its smartphone at its Polestar Day event which revealed a Meizu 20 series-inspired design. Polestar Phone features a metal frame and three camera modules housed in individual camera rings – a 23mm equivalent main camera with an f/1.9 aperture alongside a 70mm telephoto (f/2.0) and a 15mm ultrawide lens with an f/2.4 aperture. The device is expected to be equipped with a flagship Qualcomm 8 Gen chipset and will run Polestar OS developed in collaboration with Meizu.
